MAKEY MAKEY!

After evaluating with the students at the end of the project, they told me that they found this session the most difficult to give as a teacher, especially in the beginning. Because the pupils of the primary school now already knew the students, they were much more noisy and turbulent. Although I think they did a tremendous good job, some of the students felt a bit lost during this session and didn’t know how to act with the quite active pupils. After this workshop I even heard some students saying to their teacher they were getting more respect for her, beacuse they knew their class wasn’t so easy as well.

Aside of the fact the pupils were a bit restless, it was quite a fun session after all. In the beginning they had to create their own sprite if they hadn’t done that during he last session. Then they had to code their sprite to move in all the directions. After this it was time to make it tangible with makey makey with plasticine. After seeing the eyes of the pupils glowing and how they were motivated to make it work, we could only talk about a success.
