#CodincEU introduction at the Code your Life Coding Summer Camp in Berlin

The 21st Century Competence Center (21CCC) develops educational projects and ideas for digital inclusion. Children with disabilities thus have better opportunities for more participation in the digital society. In the European project #CodincEU - Coding for Inclusion, young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds supported primary school children in their first steps into the digital world. 21CCC is the practical partner in the consortium in Germany.

#CodincEU-applies computational thinking and programming to promote inclusion and empowering young people

The #CodincEU – Coding for Inclusion a Erasmus + KA3project – encompasses a peer-to-peer learning methodology wherein students (teenagers in schools) teach their younger peers - children in elementary schools - STEAM education and coding in a fun and playful way.  

 

Capital Digital and Codinc presented at 2018 Scientix conference in Brussels

The annual Scientix conference took place in Brussels, and “Capital Digital” was presented in a workshop hosted by #codinceu project partner Maks. The workshop presented the best practice and concept behind the practice of capital digital and this was followed by a sharing a module of the codinc/capital digital training with science educators and teachers.

Do you really believe that coding is as aseptic as it could seem? Have you ever thought of computer programming as a way to create bonds between people? This is the idea behind the CODINC Project, whose acronym means indeed “Coding for Inclusion” and whose aim is to foster STEM education of disadvantaged youth through an inclusive educational approach based on a peer-learning pedagogical method for formal and non-formal educational contexts in Europe.
